Red Dawn, in Australia. Great interface of the characters: memorable characters. Good suspense. I love movies where the kids beat the adults.
A weak movie. One can tell it was made for TV.
It's something of a no-brainer, and it is difficult to figure out when the "serious" part will begin.
That aside, the lead Caitlin Stasey was actually quite decent.
This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. “Not too bad---good performance”. "I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.”
Very well done movie. A pleasure to watch. I would recommend this movie for all to see. No fast forwarding on this one. A++ DVD
Aussie Red Dawn. I thought it was done pretty well, although has an open ending. The young cast of unknowns does a good job with the acting and the action. Comes off a bit of a teen movie, but they ARE teens.
i must say i steer clear of aussie type of films. mainly because the boring drama's usually put me to sleep. however this film is a treat. my question is, why aren't we making these types of films here?? "Wake up, australian film industry" i have not read the books so i can't compare, but this film kept me on the edge of my seat. drama, a little bit of romance, action. good stuff. its about a group of teens upon coming home from their camping trip discover that their town is overtaken by a foreign army. these teens kick ass. i hope they are making a sequel.
Good movie, but, as usual, the books are the best. I've read the series twice in my teenage-hood and I really recommend them.
Good enough film, and well acted but the story is a little far reaching. I've been told by my partner that the books continue down the ridiculous. Similar plot to Red Dawn (?) which I will now have to go back and watch.
