Sonic Lost World is a bizarre experience. On one hand, the graphics look incredibly colourful and the frame rate never dips below 60fps. The soundtrack is really well produced with catchy and atmospheric tunes, and the controls may take some getting used to, but they work very well and a good chunk of the levels are a lot of fun. However, a lot of the levels are very gimmicky and do not often work with this kind of gameplay. Some are tolerable, some are terrible. The bosses are too numerous, making the majority of them unmemorable, and the story is really stupid. I would give this game a 2.5 out of 5. Pick it up if you’re interested, but don’t say I didn’t warn you if you disliked it.
