An absolutely fantastic and gripping look at the days of the notorious and reprehensible residential-school and the "Indian Agents" that profited in their reigns of terror. Filmed with a nod to the graphic-novel and zombie-films. This is a masterpiece of Canadian film. Fascinating actors throughout, the young lead - Kawennahere Devery Jacobs is absolutely stunning in this role. Brutal honesty- as required.

Aila is rez smart, organized & must keep track of all the pies the Indian Agent's hand is in...to retrieve her money.

Her father endures..& how he shows he loves them all is to take the fall..similar to Peltier's.

& listening the John Trudell's discourse on the "Drunken Indian" will afford the library patron some understanding on the 4B's of colonialism : the booze , the bible , the blankets & the bullets.
