The movie wasn't great, but I didn't think it was godawful. I recommend reading the novel by Thomas Berger.

I agree with Ira, skip this movie. Do yourself a favor, watch paint dry.

Truly hated this movie...pointless and boring...Not sure why Samuel L. Jackson is so mean...and is constantly killing innocent people and why is Wilson so story line...Skip this movie....

Substandard, sorry excuse for a thriller. Starring one of those mopey Wilson brothers, grateful to get any gig available to him. Having a REALLY bad day. *SPOILERS...??* Lost his job, house in foreclosure; his Barbie trophy-wife is bopping the pool-boy; his kids are homely little porkers; a foul-mouthed, bloated, donut-scarfing cell phone saleslady named Rhonda wouldn't let him use the phone; the chain-smoking cancerous chief of police is looking for him... AND... He's p.o.'d Samuel L. Beelzebub. I'm giving it one star for the laughs (and that gorgeous G.T.O.).

Fair – Meeting Evil (2012) 89 min. On the surface, this action thriller starring Samuel L. Jackson terrorizing a town follows the mainstream in providing an entertaining motion picture and it does just that. Unfortunately, one must leave any semblance of thought at the door because the film makes little sense. It’s one of those pictures that take you on a wild goose chase only to realize that what you’re watching is just a decoy for something else. Mind you the film does entertain – just wish it was less violent and the plot made sense.

Tina R. Cooper says "Enjoyed it", evil has a new name & its "STRANGER!" normally not my style.
