This book is cataloged under Subject Headings: "CHRISTIAN FICTION";how someone misses this is a wonder to me... Anyway, religious beliefs when they uplift and are used for good, do not bother me at all. This is a good example of a book that makes good use of the author's religious beliefs. Very well written. Recommend it. (Make sure you read before "The Garden at the Edge of Beyond.")

If it wasn't for the "overuse" of religious beliefs at times, I would give this series 5 stars. Because other than that one issue, everything was highly enjoyable & there was plenty of mystery, suspence & history - I love history & Michael Phillips works a lot of it into this series.
