I'll start off by saying that I am pretty sure this is the last book in the series. I am a little disappointed, but this novel wrapped up so nicely that I'm actually okay with that. It reminds me of the Batman quote, "You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." Well, the same thing happens to books. As the author, you have to end it before everyone hates it.

In this (I'm assuming) final installment, Minnie must figure out what her future is going to look like-all while trying to help a friend whose future doesn't look too bright at all after being accused of murdering her father. Minnie soon finds out that her friend's dad certainly wasn't well liked, so it's going to be difficult to narrow down the suspect list.
Wrong Side of the Paw is an enjoyable read perfect for a sunny fall afternoon. Or several afternoons, if you can make it last that long. I really enjoyed how Cass wrapped up all our beloved character's 'ever afters'. Eddie, as usual, was his charming self who seems to know a little more than we'd like to think he does. And Minnie is at her best as she tries to decide what her next move is. A great ending to a great series!
