This book was very interesting. I think the plot was a little lacking, and things were sometimes dragged out, but the characters and real life situation from the book make it worth it. The book is relatable, with the main character striving to be perfect, the best of her class, which can translate to other things in someone's life. The struggles the main character faces are also understandable and really put you in her shoes. I enjoyed this book a lot and would definitely read it again.
Reshma Kapoor is an overachiever who will stop at nothing - including multiple lawsuits against her school - to be the top of her class and secure a place at Stanford University. Reshma is not a likable character but I still found myself wanting to read more in order to find out just how far she would go to achieve her dream and whether she could atone for her actions. If you believe a likable heroine isn't a requirement for an enjoyable read, this may be for you.
