Interesting story of a murder in the past that involves a young journalist and her grandmother. Lots of twists and turns with exceptional details of wartime intelligence, I loved the history depicted and the characters drew me into their lives. Written by one of my favourite Canadian authors who also writes under the name Susanna Kearsley.

A really good book with a interesting plot, very dynamic development and well thought elements. The author used some historical events that took place in Western Europe and North America during the World War II and I think she did a remarkable thing in terms of documenting those.
I would highly recommend this book.

Emma Cole is another pen name for Canadian writer Susan Kearsley; the name she uses when she writes mysteries. Part of this novel takes place in Toronto and Oshawa (as well as England and Portugual)The author's notes at the back of the book explain that Camp X actually existed around Pickering during WWll--a training ground for spies. Interesting.
