Surprisingly disappointed in the last installment. I became a fast fan of CC and her shadow hunter world, however found myself struggling through the Dark Artifices. Sadly I believe this was my least favorite of all her books. I felt it didn’t have her usual flare and she became to caught up in the teenage love lives of her characters.

The third and final book in the Dark Artifices trilogy by Cassandra Clare, it is an official sequel to the Infernal Devices trilogy and the Mortal Instruments series. The most recent release by the author, Queen of Air and Darkness isn't the best ending book she's written, however for a fantasy series it deals with certain issues like racism that happens way to often today. Over 800 pages long, there are multiple scenes that aren't truly needed and I did falter in reading it at certain moments. However, it ends the trilogy the best that it can and for side characters that were main in the Mortal Instruments, they earn a nice conclusion to their story that I would very much like to keep peaceful. 5/5 Stars. @SeraphinaWilliams of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

I have this HUGE book at home from my older sister on my 18th birthday last year. WOW! When you read a third Dark Artifices book Fiction Novel by Cassandra Clare, it has like, 880 pages in there. Also, there's a picture that tells you what happened in this longest stories. And wow, did I ever always hear the main characters say "I am a ShadowHunter!" Yup! I really did enjoy reading this book a lot. And Darkness is EVERYWHERE!

The newest edition to The Dark Artifices series, Queen of Air and Darkness adds some important elements to Cassandra Clare's writing. No stranger to romance in her novels, Clare has no problem writing triangles and fluff, but with this series she has begun to include representation of gender identity and sexuality that have added depth to a world many of us know well. This installment has added to the Shadowhunter World, and showing a split in tradition which serves as healthy social commentary for the modern day. Over all, the story provided everything I needed as a long-time fan, and also answered some big questions from the series. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a slight change from the urban fantasy you may have come to expect in Young Adult novels.

Such a long book but totally still in love with the series. I can't wait to read more into Kit & TY. & that Jace cliffhanger at the end. Good lord I need more.
