Have some time and your craft supplies on hand before introducing your new/young reader to Yasmin, she’s fun and inspiring.
Recommended all earlier readers (ages 5-9); for the earlier end of chapter books due to the picture book feel of this one (think Mercy Watson/Princess in Black) and the lengths of story–and you’ll have it around for a good span. A good read-aloud.
My 7 year old loved all of the Yasmin books and wishes there were more!
A wonderful early chapter book. No outrageous humor or narrative gimmicks, simply a very relatable girl having some very common experiences. Excellently written and illustrated. Four stories from Yasmin's life, each consisting of three short chapters. My three- and four-year-old sons have asked for it as a read-aloud repeatedly.
Yasmin is a spunky, fun and creative 2nd grader. A perfect next read for fans of Junie B.
