Interesting idea and great music made the plot holes easy to ignore. It was a slow start, but worth watching to the end. Very good cast. I would watch it again for the music.

Actually found myself liking this movie, and the main character who passes off the songs of the Beatles, as his own. It's nice to see a love story interwoven with the familiar songs of the Fab Four.

I was expecting a little bit more I'm afraid. There were just some scenes I think they took out, or maybe just didn't have, that left me confused. And there were a few weird camera angles of random things that just kind of left me like, 'Huh?'

Overall, I thought the music and songs were really good, (though that's a given since the Beatles are the best.)
I may watch it again, but for me, it's kind of a one-watch-is-enough movie. To each their own though, and I'm that some viewers did enjoy it. 4/5 stars.

I was a little disappointed in this movie. I was expecting more. Funny at times, but a slow start and a typical love story theme. I watched it to the end for the music. Love the Beetles.

A very clever concept brought to life by gifted actors and, of course, wonderful music. Like with all fairy tales, one has to suspend belief and logic, but the twists and turns of the plot make it all worthwhile. Funny, sweet and wistful, this is a very enjoyable movie that does make you think about what the world would be like without the Beatles. Not good, but this movie is.

Directed by Danny Boyle, this romantic comedy uses the backdrop of a world in which British pop group The Beatles has been totally forgotten. Except, of course, for the male lead played by Himesh Patel who actually sings a number of old tunes very well. The plot is a tad outlandish but overall, if you like Beatles' music, it is an enjoyable movie.

A thoroughly enjoyable movie once the Beetles part kicks in. Loved hearing all that music again.

We had really been looking forward to this film, but it was so slow and disappointing. We finally shut it off after 40 min (and we rarely ever shut off a movie without completing it.

A bit of a sleepy start for 15 or so minutes, but once the Beatles music kicked in a bit more interesting. Cute story, otherwise.

I was ready for a non-plot music catalogue video like "Mamma Mia" or "Across the Universe," but, while no classic, this one did have a bit of sweetness and humour. I liked it more than I expected to.
