this book was simply AMAZING. I read it in 3rd grade and this is one of those books you remember forever. RECOMMENDED FOR 2ND TO 4TH GRADE I actually didn't know there where 2 other books until 5th grade, but this worked perfectly, even better in my opinion, as a stand-alone.

This book is one of my favourites. I love how there is magic, and how it teaches you a bit about fairies. I couldn't put it down.

This is the best series in the world it is amazing I love how creative the author has been by making fairies bad and all these cool ways on how to protect your self from them like wearing your clothes inside out it is the best book ever who could not be addicted to this series !!!!!!! :)

<3ed it 4 sure! Normally fairies are nice and good but this time they were mean and evil. I love the surprising character found in the tunnels and how the 2 girls share a connection. I definitely recommend it!!!

I love this trilogy! I love scary books, but not too scary or else I'll be afraid at night! But I love those books that scare you but they're so good you want to continue reading! Though, I got frightened a lot, it was worth it. :)

I know that the 2nd book is about Red [or Rowan] I wonder if the 3rd
is about Tanya rescuing Red and they live happily ever after,or something.

Tanya is no ordinary girl. She can see fairies. But not the fairies we imagine. Evil fairies who cast spells on her, rousing her from her sleep and propelling her out of bed. At wit's end with her daughter's inexplicable behavior, Tanya's mother sends her away to live with her grandmother at Elvesden Manor, a secluded countryside mansion on the outskirts of a peculiar Essex town.

There is plenty to explore, as long as Tanya stays away from Hangman's Wood- a vast stretch of forest, full of catacombs and notorious for people losing their lives. Fifty years ago a girl vanished in the woods, a girl Tanya's grandmother will not speak of. As Tanya learns more about this girl, she finds herself dangerously close to vanishing into the fairy realm forever.
