A good effort, but Michael Fassbender carries the movie.

I really enjoyed getting to see how Erik became Magneto and turned evil, and how the X-Men came to be! I thought it was an excellent movie! :)

X-men anything is great for me. I am always looking for their next big production movie as a reason to go back and binge watch these previous movies. I re-watched this one and days of future past before going to see apocalypse.

Awesome!

The biggest difference I found in this one is that they called "Night-crawler" Azazel" (which is name of a Demon)instead.Using that other name was the only thing I didn't like about this movie.I kept looking for "Night-Crawler ".

Reliance upon too much special effects, CGI and devices rather a good story. Worst acting by Kevin Bacon I've seen by far. The story arc seems more about teenage vengeance and exploitation due to extreme expendability and bullying. Would like to see character development beyond the 'freak' (mutant) aspect. Too much reliance upon young people in the news on a rampage. If life mimics art, then build a movie that changes the ending.

My absolute favorite X-Men movie. I love backstory movies and the fact that Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, and Jennifer Lawrence portray the younger versions of three of my favorite Marvel characters makes it even better. (And Hugh Jackman's cameo as Logan = :D)
It's a cool way to look at history, too. I never would have thought of it that way.
Just don't get too excited about Days of Future Past, it's not as good as this one even though you get more J-Law and they introduce Evan Peters as Quicksilver.

Every scene with Michael Fassbender was all mesmerising, he is such a great actor! Somehow I was not convinced by this Professor X here. I like the back story about Mystique that showed her innocent side however you don't really want to meet this creature at her later stage. The diamond girl and Azzazel were refreshing addition to this series. I wish they had had more scenes and background story. Do you know that Azzazel is actually the devil (evil or hellraiser) seen by people during the long history of human, according to the comic book? He would have been more powerful than everyone else, not just under the command of this 'energy-twister' guy. Other superheroes were so and so, they didn't ring a bell in my head. I wish the director and screenwriter included more controversial heroes from different regions and countries so that the story was amplified to a greater and bolder extend. How about the 'Sand' girl from Afghanistan and the 'Sunfire' lad from Japan?
