The third book in the Royal Spyness series combines mystery, romance, and humor in totally winning fashion. The conclusion is over-the-top absurd, but as these books' grasp on reality has always been tenuous at best, this didn't annoy me in the slightest. Look, a funny, charming mystery series set in 1930s England about an impoverished aristocrat, featuring a nice romantic subplot and lots of eccentric supporting characters is essentially my ideal book; this one gets bonus points for, in my opinion, having a stronger mystery at its center than the preceding installment. Tremendous fun.
